UO Prospect Baseball Camp over PHBR Camp Soon!

If you are just now reading this article you are too late for this University of Oregon Baseball Camp as it has already been held. Don’t fret though for more camps will be held this year. Pleasant Hill Babe Ruth also has a kids baseball camp and it will be held on January 24th and January 31st starting at 11 am and the fee is a reasonable $15 for one day and $20 for two. So come on out and have a good time and get ready for the Spring 2010 youth baseball season. All kids that like to play or want to learn how to play baseball are welcome!

The University of Oregon offers some really great baseball camps. A number of Pleasant Hill Babe Ruth players along with those from other Babe Ruth League and Little League players have participated in these Oregon Baseball Camps. From personal experience these UO camps have helped a lot. There are a number of winter baseball camps coming up including some prospect camps for players in the 9th – 12th grades. Below you will find the information on these camps.

This Oregon baseball camp will feature a high level of both instruction and competition. The training facilities at the University of Oregon Moshofsky Center are really great, The UO coaches and players that put on the training continuously demonstrate their concern for training youth that really want to learn the game of baseball.

Pitchers and Catchers: Each pitcher will receive instruction on proper mechanics and delivery, fielding his position, controlling the running game and the mental aspect of pitching. Catchers will be instructed on hitting, blocking, receiving, footwork, pitching sequence and how to manage a pitching staff. Catchers will also receive hitting instruction on proper swing mechanics, base running, bunting, and the mental approach to hitting.

Position Players: Each player will receive intense instruction on proper swing mechanics, baserunning, bunting, and the mental approach to hitting. This session will also feature position specific instruction including infield and outfield (excluding catching.)

Exposure: Players will be exposed to the University of Oregon’s campus and athletic facilities, while getting intense instruction and competition.

Eligibility: Players who will be enrolled in grades 9-12 in the 2009-2010 school year.

Location: The Moshofsky Center. 2727 Leo Harris Parkway, Eugene, OR 97401.

What to Bring: All campers should bring their own bat, glove, batting gloves, tennis shoes or turn shoes, spikes and hat. All catchers should bring their own catching gear.

Fall Prospect Camp : December 19-20

Time: Pitchers & Catchers Session, 9am – 1pm on both days. All Position Players Session (excluding catchers), 2pm -6pm on both days.

Prices: $211 per player for individual session, $211 online registration. $340 per player for both sessions.
Winter Prospect Camp : January 23-24

Time: Pitchers & Catchers Session, 9am – 1pm on both days. All Position Players Session (excluding catchers), 5pm -9pm on January 23rd and 3pm-7pm on January 24th.

Prices: $211 per player for individual session, $340 per player for both sessions.
