The Babe Ruth League is a youth baseball program that was started in 1951 by a group of men who met in Trenton, New Jersey and first registered the program as the Little Bigger League. In 1954 Claire Ruth the widow of Babe Ruth gave permission to the group to rename the organization the Babe Ruth League. Upon giving her blessing to the name change Claire Ruth had stated, “Babe Ruth was a man who love children and baseball; he could receive no greater tribute than to have a baseball program named after him.” [Read more...]

Community College Baseball Don’t Count it Out!
Perhaps you did not make the cut for the college of your choice. It may have been your high school grades or perhaps those scouting for the colleges just missed seeing how talented you are. Why not consider community college? Oregon has 17 community colleges with Lane Community College being one of them and yes, the LCC Titans are a competitive baseball team. Should Your Kid Play Youth Sports
Youth sports in Lane County, Oregon. It is hard to think of a better place than here in the Willamette Valley to raise a child. While few of our small towns have movie theaters, skating rinks a YMCA other youth center or video arcade we have good schools and lots of choices in kid’s sports.
