Youth Baseball Pitcher Born With One Hand

Sam Kuhnert is a youth that was born without a left hand. While many of us would let the loss of a limb hold us back Sam loves to play sports and is a pitcher for his high school baseball team. Next year Sam will be playing baseball for Greenville College. In Sam’s spare time he volunteers at Camp No Limits where he teaches sports to other kids that have lost a limb. Each of us can learn an important lesson from kids like Sam, for he demonstrates that our limits are limited to the work we are willing to put into overcoming the challenges that we may face.

Jeff shares that as a pitcher his success became greater as he started thinking on a level encouraged by his coaches to 1- Throw a first pitch strike, 2- Get ahead and 3- Put away the hitter. He goes on to explain the importance of loosing the fear of giving up a hit or walking a player and learning small successes for the big picture.

Jim puts on clinics around the world and shares many of these techniques in this video for the youth of Pleasant Hill Babe Ruth and youth baseball players worldwide.
