Independence Day and Baseball

We commonly think of the 4th of July as baseball games, picnics, barbecues with friends and family and naturally fireworks. It is a time for great celebration and we do it up in a big way.  Let us not lose site that the Fourth of July is Independence Day here in the United States.  This day is a federal holiday that commemorates freedom with the adoption of our Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 when we as a nation declared independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

Enjoy your youth and family baseball games. Have a lot of family fun this day. As you do so give thanks for being able to live in such a great nation and having the freedom to do so!
