The Willamette Valley in Lane County Oregon is perhaps one of the most beautiful places in the world to live. Here you will not only find lots of green grass and trees you will also find lots of baseball. Baseball, softball and t-ball are very popular sports among our youth. Kids baseball programs abound and here you will find Little League, Willamette Valley Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken and Kidsports along with additional programs and baseball camps offered within the greater Eugene – Springfield area by churches, schools and the YMCA.
Pleasant Hill Babe Ruth which is a division of the Willamette Valley Babe Ruth League serves a number of small communities in the Eugene and Springfield area. The Pleasant Hill youth baseball and t-ball program serves kids in the communities of Pleasant Hill, Oakridge, Lowell, Dexter, Creswell and Cottage Grove. This program included the Cal Ripken Division for TBall starting at age and moving on to the Rookie Minor, Rookie Major, AA, AAA, Major Minor and Majors program to the age of 12. For our young teenagers ages 13 to 15 we offer the Babe Ruth Prep 13 and Prep 13/14 programs.
The Pleasant Hill Babe Ruth program is open to all youngsters that teaches the basics, sportsmanship and competitiveness preparing our youth to play ball on their local high school teams should they choose.
High schools throughout the Willamette Valley have produced excellent baseball teams that have taken many championships. As our children move from high school to college they will continue to find excellent baseball and softball programs offered at Lane Community College, University of Oregon, Oregon State University and Northwest Christian University.
